Mission Statement

GRchive strives to promote learning and access through a private collection of 18th Century artifacts focusing on the American Revolution. Not only do these artifacts tell their own stories, but this site offers an opportunity to frame those stories in a broader and modern context and format. This is especially important in the years to come with many 250th anniversaries of events of the American Revolution, including the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence next year in 2026.

Personal Background

Gregory Roth is a hobby archivist interested in the 18th Century with a serious interest in the American Revolution. In his spare time, Greg enjoys collecting, preserving, and researching documents, letters, newspapers, maps, and other artifacts from the period. Primary sources tell stories not otherwise told in contemporary media, and Greg is passionate about making these pieces of history accessible to others who share similar interests.
